About The Little Inn

島嶼,一落小小的都蘭村;
村裡,一間老老的屋子;

On this island lies the small village of Dulan.
In this village stands an old house.
And in this house resides the hope of a small-funded dream.

A dream exists here…one of bringing a few unused one-story houses back to life as friendly shelters for young wanderers.

A dream exists here…one of space that is possessed, enjoyed, maintained and improved upon through the cooperative efforts of traveling guests.

A dream exists here…one of linking people and events, binding Taiwan together in an effort to help out poor travelers.

 We push these desires forward to further the convergence and exchanges between people, piecing together our island.

These spaces are simple with both convergence and divergence as their objectives. The do-it-yourself and help-yourself concepts give the space more leeway to operate on its own.

Guests change their sheets, clean up and take out the trash, creating an invisible and implicit understanding between them. Travelers stay and converse together in this space, leaving notes to each other about this and that. They can also donate small amounts of money that will be used to feed this space and others of like minds.

If possible, apply your energy when the inspiration comes to a certain area, like the guy who drove nails in building a wooden chair, or the girl who made a message board.

You can search and discover at your own, gradual pace. Through our penniless efforts, we can piece together an island of wealth.
